Adding NexaBot to a Server
Requirements
- You need the Manage Server permission on the Discord server you're adding NexaBot to
- The server should have a channel you're willing to designate as a mod-log channel (you can set this up later if you're not ready)
Invite the bot
Open NexaBot's public invite link and select the server you want to add it to. Discord will show you the permissions NexaBot is requesting — these are tied directly to its moderation features:

| Manage Roles | Assigning/removing roles for verification, reaction roles, and warn ladders |
| Kick / Ban Members | Enforcement actions from AutoMod and anti-raid/anti-nuke |
| Manage Channels | Anti-nuke response and mod-log setup |
| Send Messages / Embeds | Sending logs, verification panels, and command responses |
| Read Message History | Reviewing context around flagged messages |
Role position matters
NexaBot can only manage roles positioned below its own role in your server's role list. If a member's highest role sits above NexaBot's, actions like auto-muting that member will fail. Move NexaBot's role near the top of your hierarchy, below only roles you trust with equivalent power.
After inviting
Once NexaBot joins, run the setup wizard to configure the essentials, then use the Nexa Dashboard for anything more detailed.
